Support
Mail hello@thinkering.app. It reaches a person, and that is the whole support system.
From inside the app, Settings → Send feedback does the same thing and adds the app version and platform, which saves a round trip.
Moving to a new phone
Settings → Backup exports a single file that holds everything: interests, plans, activities, answers and notes. Put it somewhere you keep files, then use Restore on the new device. It needs no account and no network.
If you turned on cloud backup, sign in on the new device, type in your recovery key, and restore from there instead.
I lost my recovery key
Then the cloud backup cannot be opened — not by you, and not by us. The key is generated on your device and never sent anywhere, so there is nothing on our side to reset and no support path that can retrieve it. This is what makes the backup genuinely private, and it is a real cost rather than fine print.
What you can do: your data on the device you still have is untouched. Export a file backup from it, then make a new recovery key and start a fresh cloud backup.
Something in an activity is wrong
Every card has a “this looks wrong” action. Using it is the single most useful thing you can do — generated material can be confidently wrong, and a learning app is a bad place for that.
It says I have reached today’s limit
There is a daily cap on generation so the service cannot be run up by a script. It resets at midnight UTC. If you are hitting it in normal use, tell us — that is useful information, and the number is set to be moved.
Where does my data live?
On your device, unless you turn on cloud backup. Privacy has the full account of what leaves it and when.
